Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility (DESEU), is a unique 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization offering a  resource—through our Energize Delaware initiative—to help residents and businesses save money through clean energy and efficiency. We offer many sustainable energy solutions through our programs —frequently at little or no cost.

The DESEU was created in 2007 by the state of Delaware to foster a sustainable energy future. Our DESEU model is the first of its kind in the United States, and is being replicated in several other communities around the world.

We help Delawareans increase the energy efficiency of their homes and businesses, save on their energy bills and improve the environment. Whether it’s replacing older equipment with higher-efficiency units, acquiring financing for upgrades or providing a comprehensive building approach, we have a program for your specific needs.

In addition to saving people money, creating jobs and improving the environment, Energize Delaware offers new ways for commercial, industrial and other nonresidential groups—including municipalities, universities, schools and hospitals—to become full partners in Delaware’s sustainable energy future.
