Workforce Development
Since the beginning, Energize Delaware’s programs have created green jobs. You may ask, what is a green job? A green job is an occupation that contributes to work that creates energy-efficiency; promotes sustainable, renewable energy; reduces greenhouse gas; restores and protects the environment.
Many of the companies that participate in our programs end up hiring new employees to keep up with the energy-efficiency workload generated by the growing popularity our programs.
The mission of Energize Delaware is to “Inspire sustainable energy solutions for a thriving environment and economy.” We are tasked to provide quality programs for Delawareans that keep value within the local economy and help our state become more energy efficient.
With over 25 programs, training is necessary as technology evolves and the energy-efficient workforce grows. At Energize Delaware, our energy advisors and participating contractors help Delaware residents become more energy-efficient.
