Small Business Program

Energize Delaware’s Small Business Program offers qualifying small businesses a no-cost, no-obligation energy assessment of their small business and exclusive incentives for eligible energy-efficient upgrades. Program services and incentives are available to small businesses within the state of Delaware (Delaware physical address) that have 50 employees or less.

Step 1: Sign-up for no-cost assessment—Apply Online or call 877-287-3415 to apply for the program. Applicants will receive a call 2-3 business days later to schedule the assessment. Prior to the assessment, the Energy Advisor will request 12 months of past utility bills.

Step 2: Receive free energy-saving products—An Energy Advisor will perform a walk-through to show the business owner opportunities for efficiency. During the energy assessment, the business may qualify for complimentary energy-saving products including LED lighting, pipe insulation, water-saving devices and more to help kickstart the path to efficiency.

Step 3: Recommend additional upgrades—After the assessment, the business owner will receive a report of suggested energy-saving upgrades and incentives available. An Energy Advisor will then connect the business owner with a Participating Contractor list to get started. Equipment eligible for additional incentives includes:

• Water heaters
• LED lighting & exit signs
• Pipe insulation
• Cooking equipment
• ENERGY STAR^® certified appliances
• Boiler, furnace, HVAC and refrigeration tune-ups
• High efficiency furnace or boiler
