Apply for a Home Energy Loan
Step One: Get an energy audit. Contact an Energize Delaware Home Performance participating contractor to schedule an audit. The participating contractor or Energy Advisor will prepare a list of recommended improvements specific to your home's needs. You also will receive a cost estimate to install those improvements and information on available rebates. Your contractor will also need to submit a rebate reservation to confirm availability of funds.
Step Two: Apply for your loan. Go to the Loan Calculator to see if you might qualify. Then, apply online at www.EnergizeDelaware.org/Apply . You may also apply by phone at 877-453-2327. You can have your home energy audit completed prior to submitting your loan application or you can choose to have your loan pre-approved before the audit.
Step Three: We pay the contractor and you start saving! Once your project is complete, you'll sign the completion certification that will be provided to you and we'll pay the contractor directly.
