Energy Efficiency Investment Fund
Incentives for investments in energy efficient equipment
Improving the energy efficiency of your business helps to decrease operating costs, reduce energy consumption, and improve environmental performance. The Energy Efficiency Investment Fund (EEIF) provides information and prescriptive incentives to help you install high efficiency natural gas heating and water heating equipment, energy efficient lighting and lighting control improvements, vending improvements, and more. The program also offers incentives for energy assessments, as well as custom incentives for unique energy efficiency projects that do not qualify for a prescriptive grant.
The program is designed to help commercial and industrial customers replace aging, inefficient equipment and systems with energy efficient alternatives. Complete an energy assessment with a qualified contractor to identify beneficial energy efficiency improvements.
Program participants are non-residential entities that pay the Public Utility Tax. Participants must be “consumers or users of gas or electricity whose purchase of those commodities from a distributor is subject to the public utility tax on gas or electricity.” This includes non-residential entities, except for political subdivisions, state government agencies, public schools and automobile manufacturers.
