Our Mascot
Meet “Delaware SEU” (pronounced Sue), Energize Delaware’s new Red Knot shorebird mascot!
Hi, I’m Delaware SEU – the Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility’s mascot. I’m a Red Knot shorebird. I love Delaware and that’s why I’m very excited to be here to work with you to cut energy waste, save money, create jobs, and of course improve the environment.
I know firsthand the exceptional natural beauty we have in our state. When we take small steps to increase energy efficiency and use renewable energy sources, we are reducing carbon emissions – pollutants that harm air quality and contribute to climate change. Find out more about me and how important Delaware is to Red Knot shorebirds!
I also want you to get to know some of my Delaware friends who are trying to protect our environment: Delaware Nature Society, Delaware RiverKeeper and the Clean Air Council.
And of course you may know my cousins the Delaware Blue Hen and the Delaware State Hornet.
